With a big move and a vacation a week later, plus camps, new daycare, and work, work, work, it has been a crazy, busy summer. I’m finally coming up for air, and I’m thrilled to share these wonderful gold foil bridal shower and rehearsal dinner invitation suites for a Navy pilot and his wife-to-be. I had the pleasure of working with my childhood neighbor (Monadnock Road rules!), who is the bride’s future sister-in-law, to create the package below—is a combination of foil stamping and letterpress.
I had a lot of fun coming up with flight-themed wording, like “fasten your safety belts…”
The package included recipe cards for invitees to fill out and bring with them to the shower. But I wanted to come up with a fun, poetic way to tell them what to do.
My favorite part is how the plane flies around to the back of the envelope. And I found vintage, airplane stamps online.
And I lined the envelopes with a map of Jacksonville, Florida which is where the happy couple will be stationed post-nuptials.
For the rehearsal dinner invitation, we continued the theme but decided to print the gold foil on deep blue cover stock for an evening affair.
