The process began with the naming of the company. Just as the apropos name implies, Slice finds cutting edge ways to tell brand stories, help achieve a company’s goals and build brand loyalty. Slice was looking for strong, simple branding for itself that would highlight its strengths.
The logo with subtle slices cut from the letters is remarkable in its direct correlation between the name and the company’s talents. The tagline was created to further drive home the message. A simple die cut slice in the business card and letterhead makes the design really stand out. Pomp also crafted the tagline with a play on the word “sharp.”
When it came to the design of the website, a play on the word “slice” was used in the landing page so each time a visitor arrives, a different type of slice—from a tennis stroke to pizza—appears. The sharp slice of the logo was used in the navigation as well as the portfolio pagination.
