Chef’s Best is Food & Friends’ annual fundraiser. The event brings together the region’s brightest culinary stars to raise money to support the more than 2,800 children and adults Food & Friends serves each year.
Working with Bravo! Events, Pomp Creative was tasked to design the logo and branding for the event that focuses on elegant edibles made with sustainable ingredients. The branding needed to be bright and bold and also communicate that guests would be enjoying exceptionally delicious bites.
We started with the logo design and nothing says high end more than a silver serving cloche.
Once the logo was established, we got to work on the printed invitation. To open the accordion fold, guests had to lift the cloche to reveal what was underneath. Watermarked behind the logo were the neighborhoods of DC, Maryland and Virginia where the celebrity chefs craft their food. The last panel had a tear-off recipe guests could keep.
Rounding out the branding, we created the eblast save the date, website header, program/bidder number, multimedia display, and centerpiece circles. WINNER: 2016 GDUSA Graphic Design Award
