About the Event
PM Hotel Group is a hotel management company with over 50 properties in its portfolio throughout the United States. Its leadership wanted to kick off 2020 with a premier event to engage its team of executives and directors, train them with new management skills, and recognize their outstanding efforts in the workplace. The goal was to deliver a memorable experience sparking passion in its employees and inspiring them to execute the training they learned at the event.
The name of the event is a play on both the year and the vision for the company moving forward. PM Hotel Group marketing team wanted the branding to be clean and modern. They were looking for something smart and a bit whimisical—something with a point of view. The color palette needed to compliment the company’s branding with moody blues and bold, black typography.
Using the concept of vision, I created an abstract iris with the title of the event emanating from the center. The iris gives a sense of movement and the futuristic typography gives a sense of looking forward at what’s to come. I created a complimentary dot pattern and rounded out the branding with sleek silver accents. The branding was then applied to everything from a large backdrop and a 58-page workbook to an event app and small, fun giveaways.
