Welcome to my Favorite Font Friday series! If this is your first visit, be sure to check out last week’s font post.
The “Favorite FONT Friday” text in the image above is a font called Futura. It’s a classic modern font with a very geometric look and feel. It was created by Paul Renner in 1927 so it’s an oldie but a goodie! It’s consistent with the look and feel of most design coming out of the Bauhaus era in the early 1900s.
Take a look at Futura in action in the logo below:
Futura was used in the branding of Compton Contracting. If you’re curious to see the branding in its entirety, you can see by clicking HERE. Like all great fonts, Futura has a lot of weights which make it super versatile and one of my all-time go-to fonts. You can purchase it from myfonts.com. There are several different font houses that offer Futura, but I personally love Linotype’s version.
I hope you enjoyed this installment of Favorite Font Friday. Check back every Friday for my favorite fonts or sign up at the top of the right sidebar to receive my blog posts in your inbox. And be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook.
