for hiring people 50+.

The Challenge

Because there is a mother logo for AARP as well as an established brand for Best Employers, the branding for this event had some competitors to deal with. The Linking the Generations theme needed a mark that was bold and simple. Taking place in October, the color palette focused on fall colors with pops of bright green.

The Solution

The branding created for this high-end awards gala subtly references the Linking the Generations theme throughout. The mark for the event “links” the generations with its connecting letters.

A pop-up invitation, which shipped flat inside the envelope but opened to reveal three linking cubes, further drives home the theme for this over-the-top affair. All the event details were included in the squares on the back of the flat invitation. Recipients joked that they loved playing with the unique shape—closing and opening it over and over.

The menu is shaped like a single cube and is a clever way to add height to normally flat information. The perfect-bound program for the event is also designed square.
